Annatto powder
A powder rich in carotenoids with antioxidant properties is obtained by grinding annatto seeds. Annatto powder promotes tanning and makes the skin smoother. Gives cosmetics and soaps a yellow or orange color.
Use
Annatto can be mixed into the product as a powder or infused in oil beforehand. To make an infusion, mix up to 10 g of powder with 100 ml of oil and let stand for a few days. The oil must be filtered to obtain a uniform color.
For lightly toning creams and oils, use 5-10 g of annatto powder per 100 g of product. The result is more permanent if you exfoliate the skin before using the toning product.
