UFIGreen Fragrance Oils for Candles

Requirements for the use of UFI Green candle safety data sheets

1. Candles must be made from wax that has been recognized as safe under the REACH regulation. All candle waxes sold at Relumees meet this criterion.

2. You can only use one fragrance oil in one candle. Safety data sheets are generally prepared for a fragrance oil dosage of 6, 8 or 10%.

You can find the safety data sheets corresponding to the recipe in the footer of each Aspol fragrance oil product page. For example, in the footer of Dio J'adore fragrance oil there are files Candle Safety Data Sheet 6%, Candle Safety Data Sheet 8% and Candle Safety Data Sheet 10%, where the percentage at the end of the name indicates the amount of aroma oil in the product. Depending on the UFI Green requirements, some fragrance oils only have safety data sheets available with a lower dosage. Before making candles, check the maximum dosage of the fragrance oil.

3. Use only non-hazardous candle colours. All ASPOL liquid candle dyes, candle dye tablets, and color granules (except red dye) are suitable. Since these dyes do not contain hazardous components, they do not need to be listed separately in the recipe. You can use any color in each candle or mix them together. You can also not add dye at all if you wish.

4. Do not use other hazardous components in the candle.

5. Candles must be labeled correctly. Candles made according to a recipe must be properly labeled. On the product page of each fragrance oil, you can find samples of CLP labels that contain the necessary information that must be on the product packaging. You can import the sticker in PDF format, for example, into Canva, where you can add your company contact information, product weight and batch number to the label or redesign it according to your wishes. CLP labels may differ depending on the dosage of the aroma oil. For example, a sticker called CLP sticker 6% is suitable for a candle with an aroma oil dosage of no more than 6%.
