Allergen-free fragrance oils exclude the 26 allergens identified in European Union Regulation 1223/2009, making them more suitable for sensitive skin.

With the introduction of EU regulation 2023/1545, 56 additional allergens have been added to the list. For products already on the EU market before August 2023, the new allergens must be included in product information by August 2028. Products entering the market after August 2023 must comply by July 31, 2026. Fragrance oil manufacturers are updating their documentation, and some allergen lists already reflect these changes.
