Glitter Mica

Glitter mica is ideal for creating various shimmering products. Compared to regular mica powder, its particles are larger, and the shimmer effect is more pronounced. Glitter mica is similar to ultrafine-type glitter but does not contain plastic. Natural mineral pigments are used for coloring, just like in mica powder.

The main component of glitter mica is synthetic mica. Synthetic mica is produced through a heating process using various minerals - potassium, aluminum, and silica. Cooled mixture crystallizes and mimics the natural mica. Synthetic mica is smoother and allows to create larger particles, with more pronounced shimmer. Synthetic mica feels soft on the skin and does not scratch. Raw materials used to make synthetic mica are found in nature, it is not harmful to the environment.

The shimmer comes out best in transparent products, such as oils, gels, and transparent soap. It is also impressive on product surfaces and skin.

Glitter mica is non-flammable, but when used in candles, it can clog the wick and is therefore better suited for adding shimmer to aroma waxes. Solvent-resistant product is also suitable for use in nail polishes.
