Olivem900 is an olive oil-based emulsifier for creams that contain more than 50% oil. Water-in-oil creams are thicker and more nourishing than oil-in-water creams, and their absorption is slower. If you want to make a faster-absorbing cream with a higher water content, use Olivem1000.
Water-in-oil creams are especially suitable for dry skin.
Olivem900 is used as an ingredient in various protective creams, sun creams and ointments. In addition to its emulsifying properties, it helps to disperse various powders and pigments.
The recommended dosage is 5-8%. To use the emulsifier, it is heated together with the oil until the flakes are completely dissolved in the oil. The melting point is around 70 degrees. Then the water phase and the oil phase are mixed together. To obtain a stable cream, it is necessary to use a mixer, as insufficient mixing can later cause the cream to separate. To stabilize the cream, 0.5-1% salt is added to the water phase.
