Epsom Salt 250 g
Epsom salt, also known as magnesium sulfate, consists of magnesium, sulfur, and oxygen. It is named after the town of Epsom in England, where its healing properties were first discovered. Epsom salt is obtained from underground deposits or mineral water sources that contain a high concentration of magnesium sulfate.
Epsom salt is well-known for its high magnesium content, which can be absorbed through the skin. It is believed to help relax muscles, reduce inflammation, and facilitate the elimination of toxins. The sulfur present in Epsom salt has antimicrobial properties and soothing effects on the skin.
Description
Epsom salt body scrub helps to remove dead skin cells, leaving the skin smoother. To make a body scrub, mix 125g of Epsom salt with 50g of coconut oil. Optionally, add 1-2g of essential oil or fragrance oil to the mixture. Apply the salt scrub to the skin in circular motions. Allow the coconut oil to absorb for a moment and then rinse off any residue.
Taking a salt bath with Epsom salt helps to relax, reduce muscle tension, and alleviate stress. Epsom salt dissolves easily in bathwater, allowing the active ingredients to be absorbed through the skin over an extended period. If desired, mix 100g of salt with 10-15 drops of essential oil or fragrance oil first and then dissolve it in the bathwater. The recommended duration for a bath is approximately 20 minutes. For a foot soak, add 1-2 tablespoons of salt to the water.
In hair care products, Epsom salt helps to add volume to the hair, remove excess oil and residue, and exfoliate the scalp.
For a hair mask, mix 50g of salt, 25g of olive oil, and approximately 5 drops of tea tree essential oil. Massage the mixture into the hair and scalp, leave it on for a short while, then rinse and wash the hair.
For a volumizing hair spray, mix 100ml of water with 0.5 tablespoons of salt. Spray the mixture onto damp hair, scrunch and style the damp hair, and let it air dry.
Making magnesium oil: Magnesium oil is not actually an oil, but its texture resembles oil. Magnesium oil helps to relax muscles and relieve pain and muscle tension in the legs, back, shoulders, and neck. It can be used regularly on painful areas. Apply the solution directly to the skin, massaging until it is absorbed. To make 100ml of magnesium oil, add 85g of boiled or distilled water to 35g of salt. The dissolved mixture can be dispensed from a spray bottle.
