Cold-pressed rosehip oil is made from wild rose hips. Rose hip oil is a liquid oil with a light, grassy aroma and an orange-red color. It is suitable for use directly on the skin as well as in various serums and creams.
Due to its anti-inflammatory and skin regeneration composition, rosehip oil is suitable for a wide variety of skin types, including problematic and inflamed skin and aging skin.
Description
Rosehip seed oil has skin rejuvenating, anti-inflammatory and anti-aging properties, partly due to its high content of unsaturated fatty acids and the appropriate ratio of omega-6 and omega-3 essential fatty acids. Rosehip oil contains plenty of linoleic and linolenic acid. Both α-linolenic acid and linoleic acid reduce UV damage and skin hyperpigmentation
Several studies have found that rosehip oil promotes the healing of wounds and scars. In a multi-year study, rosehip oil was used in patients with surgical, traumatic, and burn scars, as well as patients suffering from premature aging of the skin. Continuous use of rosehip oil reduced scars and wrinkles, slowed down the progression of premature aging, and improved skin tone.
The ability of rosehip oil to restore damaged skin tissues is related to its high content of unsaturated essential fatty acids. Another important component in trans-retinoic acid is tretinoin. It is the most bioactive form of retinoid, able to penetrate the stratum corneum and, to a lesser extent, the dermis.
As an antioxidant, rosehip oil can protect the skin, reduce damage and help with hyperpigmentation. Tretonin and other retinoids are considered important components in the treatment of inflammatory and non-inflammatory acne due to their ability to reduce inflammation and promote cell renewal.
