Lemon tea tree is an evergreen plant that grows in Australia. Essential oil is extracted from the leaves of the plant by steam distillation.

The essential oil has an intense citrusy and lemony aroma. It blends well with citrus essential oils, cypress, lavender, and palmarosa.

In folk medicine, lemon-scented tea tree is used to relieve muscle tension and pain. Due to its high citral content, this essential oil has an antibacterial effect and is suitable for use in cleaning products. In aromatherapy, this oil is used for its refreshing, motivating, and energy-boosting properties.

Follow IFRA restrictions when using on the skin as it can be a dermal irritant.
