Exotic mango butter is derived from the seeds of mango fruits. It is whitish, solid, slightly grainy, and has a delicate aroma. The scent of mango butter doesn’t resemble mango fruit and isn’t noticeable in finished products. With a melting point of 26-29 degrees Celsius, it melts slightly higher than coconut oil but lower than shea and cocoa butter. Mango butter primarily consists of Omega-9 fatty acids and stearic acid. Omega-9 fatty acids help keep the skin soft and shiny, while also acting as an antioxidant. Stearic acid provides its solid texture and forms a protective layer on the skin, locking in moisture and reducing water loss. Additionally, mango butter is rich in vitamins A, C, and E.
