Properties of Polyquaternium-7

• Conditions and improves combability, facilitates combing wet and dry hair and reduces hair breakage when combing.

• Controls static electricity and frizz as the positive charge neutralizes the negative charge accumulated in the hair.

• Improves product foaming, makes the foam more persistent and uniform.

• Skin softening - leaves skin smooth and velvety after shower gel and washing.

• Shine-boosting - smoothes the outer layer of the hair so that the hair reflects more light.

• Compatible with anionic surfactants.

Usage

The recommended dosage of Polyquaternium-7 is 2–5%.

The component is added to the water phase, in transparent products before the addition of other surfactants. The product is stable at pH 3–10, therefore it is suitable for use in most rinse-off and leave-on products.

It is suitable for 2-in-1 shampoos, rinse-out conditioners, detangling products, shower gels and liquid soaps, bath foams, shaving foams and after-depilatory products. It does not irritate the skin or eyes and does not have a skin sensitizing effect, so it is also suitable for products for sensitive skin and children.
