Grapeseed oil is made from grape seeds and is yellowish-green and liquid, absorbing quickly on the skin without leaving it oily. The oil is often made from leftovers from wine production.

Grapeseed oil contains antioxidants such as proanthocyanidins and resveratrol that help fight free radicals and prevent skin aging. The oil can help reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging.

Linoleic acid, which is abundant in grapeseed oil, has anti-inflammatory properties and can help reduce redness and breakouts. In addition, linoleic acid has skin-softening and barrier-forming properties.

In Lithuania, the properties of the ingredients in lipsticks have been studied and one of the main components in the recipe is grapeseed oil. The recipe can be found here: 3 Ingredient Lipstick.

Fatty acids are the main constituents of vegetable oils. Fatty acids determine the viscosity, absorption and other cosmetic properties of vegetable oils.In homemade soap made from fats and lye, the fatty acids affect the lather and hardness of the soap.
Oleiinhape

Oleic acid softens the skin and helps the skin renew itself. Suitable for chapped or sunburned skin. The oleic acid in the soap is low-foaming, but softens the skin.
Linoolhape

Linoleic acid softens the skin and helps reduce flaking. In cold process soap acts as a skin softener.
Steariinhape

Stearic acid helps maintain moisture in the skin, increases skin elasticity and helps skin recover faster from injuries. Stearic acid gives soap hardness and dense foam.
Müristhape

In cosmetics, myristic acid increases the absorption and sliding of the product, as well as thickens the consistency of the product. Myristic acid gives the soap hardness, good cleaning properties and bubbly foam.
Palmitoleiinhape

Palmitoleic acid is a monounsaturated omega-7 fatty acid that improves skin hydration by reducing moisture loss. It has anti-inflammatory properties and is suitable for use in products that aim to reduce skin inflammation and redness. In addition, palmitoleic acid has antibacterial properties, making it a good additive for products that aim to reduce bacterial growth on the skin.
Linolenic acid

Linolenic acid soothes inflamed skin. It helps relieve itching, redness and irritation.
Palmitiinhape

In cosmetic products, palmitic acid forms a protective layer on the surface of the skin. In soap, palmitic acid gives the soap hardness and a thick, creamy lather.
Arachidic acid

Arachidic acid is an Omega 6 polyunsaturated fatty acid that participates in the construction of immune cells, supports skin healing and renewal, and reduces inflammatory reactions.
