SLSA Surfactant 100 g
Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSA) is an anionic surfactant derived from natural, renewable raw materials, specifically designed for skin and hair care products. This product is notable for creating rich foam with large bubbles. Due to this property, SLSA finds extensive use in bath bombs and bubble baths. This powdery substance is soluble in water, which allows it to be added to liquid detergents.
In this sulfate-free surfactant, the concentration of active ingredients is at least 65%. The product is environmentally friendly, biodegradable, and suitable for use in EcoCert-certifiable products
Description
Main Uses:
Shampoos and Hair Care Products: SLSA is used in hair care products due to its excellent cleansing properties and ability to create foam. Compared to SLS, SLSA is gentler, making it suitable for sensitive scalps. In liquid products, SLSA can enhance the viscosity, resulting in a thicker product.
Bath Products: SLSA's standout feature is its capacity to produce large-bubbled foam, making it the best surfactant for extremely foamy products, such as bath bombs and bath foams.
Cleaning Products: With its commendable cleansing properties and low irritability, this component is broadly used in body washes, hand cleaners, and hand soaps.
Using SLSA:
SLSA can be used independently or in combination with other surfactants.
For application, the powder is added directly to mixtures for bath bombs or bath salts. For use in liquid products, SLSA is dissolved in hot water.
The recommended dosage is up to 20%.
A mask should be worn to protect the respiratory tract when handling the substance.
SLSA vs SCI:
Both Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSA) and Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI) are components utilized in solid and liquid cleaning agents.
SLSA can generate a rich, robust foam, thus making it a popular choice for products like shampoos, shower gels, and bath foams. SLSA is particularly suited for liquid products due to its high solubility in water.
SCI is renowned for its mildness and moisturizing properties. It forms a creamy, luxurious foam and is less drying than many other surfactants, making it an excellent choice for products intended for sensitive or dry skin. SCI is less soluble in water than SLSA, which might make it a bit more challenging to use in liquid products.
To leverage the best properties of both components, they can be combined.
