Cinnamon essential oil is obtained from cinnamon leaves by steam distillation. The essential oil is yellow or greenish-yellow in color with a fresh, woody and spicy smell. When applied topically, cosmetic products containing cinnamon essential oil help relieve muscle pain. Cinnamon oil is very intense and not suitable for sensitive skin. The maximum dosage in soap and candles is 1%, in cosmetic products 0.1-0.75%, depending on the product.
Cinnamon essential oil is well suited to Christmas fragrances with orange, bergamot or mandarin.

Use of essential oil
When making cosmetics follow the IFRA restrictions below. It is a very strong essential oil that can be used in small quantities. It is also suitable for use in lip products. In soap base, homemade soap and candles, the maximum dosage is 1 %

- Eye products, makeup and face masks 0.7%
- Perfumes and solid perfumes 1%
- Body creams, hand creams, face creams 0.75%

- Hair care products, soaps, washing gels and shampoos, cleaning products, room fresheners, candles 1%
