Grapefruit essential oil is often used in aromatherapy due to its properties that enhance mood and provide mental energy. Additionally, this essential oil is present in cosmetic products that help stimulate blood circulation, tone the skin, and even out the appearance of cellulite. It also balances oily skin and hair.
In perfumery, grapefruit essential oil is used as a citrus-scented top or heart note. It is suitable to mix with citrus and spices, basil, mint, cedarwood, lavender, ylang-ylang, rosemary, and cypress essential oils.

How to use Grapefruit Pink essential oil
When using essential oil to make cosmetics, it is recommended to follow the manufacturer's instructions and not exceed a maximum dosage of 4%.
This essential oil is made from food-quality raw materials and can also be used in lip products. However, it is important to keep in mind that grapefruit essential oil is phototoxic and must be used in limited quantities. The total content of Bergapten in cosmetics must not exceed 0.0015%. This restriction applies only to products that are applied to UV-exposed skin, and not to rinse-off products. The Bergapten content in grapefruit essential oil is 0.01%.
In melt-and-pour soap, you can use up to 20 g of essential oil per 1 kg of soap base.
For cold process soap, add 30-35 g of essential oil per 1 kg of oils, and 20-25 g of essential oil per 1 kg of oils when using hot process.
Soy wax candles should not exceed a maximum dosage of 6%.
