Lip balm with beeswax

This beeswax lip balm consists of three natural components. Almond oil has skin-softening properties that help keep the lips soft and smooth. Beeswax acts as a natural thickener in the balm. It also has a protective effect, the wax creates a thin protective layer on the lips that helps retain moisture. Coconut oil contains natural fatty acids, which help strengthen the natural lipid barrier of the lips and maintain moisture.

The beeswax lip balm protects the lips from drying and helps keep them soft and smooth.

To make 50 ml of lip balm, you need:
27 g sweet almond oil
9 g beeswax
9 g coconut oil
small heat-resistant bowl for melting the ingredients
an electronic kitchen scale
lip balm pots
Difficulty level: Easy

Preparation time 30 min + the time needed for hardening.

How to make:
Weigh the beeswax, oil, and fat into the melting bowl. Melt them in a water bath or microwave.

When melting in the microwave, make sure that the product does not overheat. If there are still a few grains of beeswax unmelted, continue heating in 30-second intervals.

When heating in a water bath, it is more efficient to use a narrow and deep dish - this makes the melting faster.

Let the mixture cool a bit and pour into pots. If you pour the hot mixture directly into the pot, the mixture will shrink and leave a dip in the middle. If you wait a bit, the dip will be smaller or not appear at all. However, do not let the mixture stand in the melting bowl for too long, as the mixture will thicken quite quickly.

Use and storage:
To use the lip balm, apply it with your fingers to the lips as needed.

As the product does not contain water, it can be stored without preservatives at room temperature and protected from direct sunlight for at least 6 months.
