Food-grade Sweet almond oil is pressed from the ripe, unshelled seeds of the almond tree.
Almond oil is a mild base oil, which is an ideal component in the composition of creams, ointments and body butters, and is well suited as a base oil for making massage oil.
Sweet almond oil is suitable for dry, sensitive and allergic skin and hair with all types of porosity. Sweet almond oil contains Omega-6 and Omega-9 fatty acids, vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, D and E. The oil softens and smoothes the skin. In hair care products, almond oil helps to strengthen brittle hair. In skin care products, almond oil makes the skin more elastic and helps reduce the appearance of stretch marks. The gentle oil is suitable as a body care product during pregnancy and also as a skin care product for babies and children.
Sweet almond oil as a natural cosmetic ingredient
Sweet almond oil is one of the most widely used cosmetic plant oils. The oil is practically odorless and does not interfere with the use of fragrances in the product. Also, the light color of the oil does not affect the appearance of the cosmetic product being made.
Sweet almond oil is often used as a massage oil, it absorbs quickly enough not to leave the skin greasy, but allows it to glide on the skin long enough. To make massage oil, add essential oils to almond oil, 1 ml per 100 ml of oil.
In terms of fatty acids, sweet almond oil is similar to apricot kernel oil, but thicker and leaves a slightly "oilier" feel. The largest part of the composition of the oil is oleic acid, which is moisturizing and promotes skin regeneration. This component also soothes sunburned skin and helps it to heal. Sweet almond oil contains more than a fifth of linoleic acid (omega-6 fatty acid), which reduces scaling and moisturizes. The oil with a neutral scent is suitable for many skin types, as the comedogenicity indicator is 2 on a 4-point scale.
1 liter of oil is packed in a HDPE plastic bottle, 250 ml in a PET plastic bottle.
