Description

Ecocert certified vegetable KERAGREEN rapeseed wax is an environmentally friendly choice. This wax is made from rapeseed grown in France and surrounding regions.

The extra soft wax has a light shade and adheres well to the walls of the container. The wax comes in small pearls that are easy to dose and melt quickly.

Melting point is +32–42°C

Optimal aroma oil content: 5-8%, maximum 10%,

Recommended temperature for adding aromatic oil: Not below 54°C,

Recommended dye addition temperature: +60°C,

Recommended pouring temperature: +45°C (larger candles may require a second pouring),

It is recommended to burn the candle no earlier than 48 hours after pouring.

Choice of wax

When making larger quantities of candles, we definitely recommend testing the candles to find the best wick thickness. In my tests, I concluded that the appearance and burning properties of rapeseed wax candles are very similar to Nature Wax C3 wax, and the wick size was comparable.

Stabilo 8 for candles with a diameter of 4-5 cm.

Stabilo 14 for candles with a diameter of 5-6 cm.

Stabilo 16 for candles with a diameter of 5.5-6.5 cm.

Stabilo 18 for candles with a diameter of 6-7 cm.

Stabilo 20 for candles with a diameter of 6.5-7.5 cm.

Stabilo 24 for candles with a diameter of 7-8 cm.

When choosing a wick, it is worth considering that:

A large amount of coloring or fragrance will affect the burning properties of the candle. The candle may require a thicker wick than an unscented and uncolored candle. Different fragrance oils may behave differently in a candle.
If the container is very deep or tapers at the top, the candle may need a smaller wick than in a wider, open container. In a narrow, deep, closed container, the candle temperature is higher and the wax melts faster.
