Ice Cube Candle

To make this candle, you will need:

  • rapeseed pillar wax
  • candle wick
  • candle mold - you can use a milk carton, Pringles can, or plastic bottle that can withstand temperatures up to 70 degrees.
  • candle color and fragrance
  • ice cubes
  • barbecue skewer

How to make it:

1. Melt the candle wax in a water bath, and add dye and fragrance if desired.

2. Fill the mold halfway with wax. When the wax starts to solidify, place a barbecue skewer in the center (it will be replaced with a wick later). While the wax solidifies, turn the skewer from time to time so that it does not stick to the wax.

3. Fill the upper part of the mold with ice cubes. The bigger the cubes, the bigger the holes in the candle.

4. Fill the second half of the mold with wax.

5. Remove the solidified candle from the mold and pour away the melted ice water. If there are water pockets inside the candle, poke them with a needle and pour out the water.

6. Remove the skewer and push the wick up through the opening. If necessary, drop a little melted wax on the bottom to fix the tip of the wick.
