Whipped Shea Butter
Whipped shea butter
Whipped shea butter does not contain water and therefore does not need emulsifiers or preservatives. The airy whipped butter is very rich and takes time to absorb into the skin. Choose liquid oils that are suitable for your skin in this whipped butter.
If you want a butter with a softer texture, you can increase the proportion of liquid oil to even a third.
Preparation time
up to 30 min + cooling time
Impact
Oil-based creams act as a skin softener. The product is more effective if used after a sauna or bath, when the skin is moisturized.
Difficulty level
Easy to make, suitable for a first try.
The recipe contains ingredients for 100 grams of cream. A 100 ml jar holds 70-80 grams of whipped butter, depending on the degree of foaming.
Whipped shea butter 100 g
You need:
85 g shea butter,
15 g liquid oils (such as jojoba oil, argan oil, apricot kernel oil, sweet almond oil),
1 g vitamin e,1 g fragrance oil or essential oil
Making body butter:
1. Gently warm the shea butter in a water bath until it softens, but avoid melting it.
2. Add liquid oil and mix.
3. Once the mixture is well blended and foamy, add the vitamin E and essential oil. Make sure the cream’s temperature doesn’t go over 40 degrees when adding the vitamin E, or its beneficial properties may be lost.
4. Transfer the body butter to a jar and let it cool. It will harden as it cools.
Tip! If you use the same mixer as you use to prepare food, we recommend mixing the fragrances into the mixture by hand so that they do not come into contact with the mixer.
Do it differently
*if you use carrot oil as the liquid oil, you will get a nice orange colored cream
*You can also add a pinch of mica to tint the cream, a small amount will not stain the skin
