After-sun body oil
After-sun body oil
A light blend of oils that calms sun-exposed skin. It sinks in fast, leaving behind a soft, silky glow.
Fractionated coconut oil is a light, colorless, and odorless oil that absorbs quickly and does not leave the skin greasy. It is suitable for all skin types and does not clog pores.
Calendula oil, with its soothing properties, helps to relieve redness and irritation. Flavonoids and carotenoids protect the skin from free radical damage and support the healing of minor skin irritations.
Bisabolol relieves skin irritation and redness caused by sunburn.
Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant on the skin and extends the shelf life of the vegetable oils in the mixture.
Golden mica adds a warm glow, giving the skin a sun-kissed look. For a more intense sparkle, use glitter mica instead of mica.
A bottle with a flip cap, cream pump, or pump cap is suitable for packaging. A spray bottle is not suitable for this product as mica will clog the sprayer.
For 100 ml, you'll need:
- 60 g fractionated coconut oil
- 30 g calendula oil
- 30 drops of bisabolol
- 15 drops of vitamin E
- 0.5 g gold mica
- 100 ml bottle for packaging
Preparation
Add the ingredients to the mixing bowl one at a time in the order listed, stirring the oil after each addition. Once done, pour the prepared oil into a bottle.
Usage
Mica tends to settle at the bottom of the bottle when left standing, so give the mixture a good shake before using. After sunbathing, apply a small amount to your skin and massage it in gently. If you have sensitive skin, try it on a small patch first before full use.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry spot, out of direct sunlight. Keep the bottle tightly sealed when not in use. Shelf life is up to 12 months.
Do it differently!
If you’d like the oil to give your skin a touch of color, you can swap out part of the calendula oil for carrot oil.
If you like, you can add up to 10 drops of fragrance oil or essential oil to the product for a pleasant scent.
